Manifesto process takes to the road again

FLYER-english-back

We’ll be setting up our manifesto for democracy and sustainable development consultation stall at Green Party England and Wales Conference in Bristol from 7th-10th September and at UK Labour Party conference in Manchester from 30th September-4th October.

We launched the manifesto consultation process with a number of events in Rio de Janeiro during the Rio+20 conference. And since returning to the UK from Rio in June, our stall has already allowed us to gather ideas from delegates at this year’s Social Liberal Forum Conference (on ‘social justice across generations’) and the Electoral Reform Society’s annual conference (on ‘Navigating the New Democracy’).

We’re also looking to organise a series of tailored workshops as part of the consultation process. Students at Ateneo School of Government in the Philippines took part in a consultation session in August 2012, and there are more workshop dates in the diary for October and November 2012. We’ll post updates here.

In the meantime, drop us a line if an organisation or group you’re part of would be interested in hosting a consultation session to help work out what needs to go into a manifesto for democracy and sustainable development.
