How can people identify more closely with the economy? How can they improve their understanding of the economy? How can they be more empowered to influence and change it? These are the leading questions for the recent ‘DIY Economics’ project. The RSA and Economy have developed a toolkit to “help citizens identify themselves within the economy, understand the economy and organise their own interactive and participatory workshops on economics”. The workshop will mark the launch of the toolkit, trialing some of the participatory techniques.

Speakers include Victoria Waldersee (Commissioning Editor at Economy, and Joe Richards, Campaigns Director at Economy), Beatrice Andrews (Senior Policy Advisor at the Cabinet Office’s Policy La) and Tony Greenham (Director of Economy, Enterprise and Manufacturing at the RSA).
