How To Do it: Creating Bottom Up Political Participation | London, 9-10 April 2016

by | Apr 8, 2016

how to do itThis weekend event at Kings College London brings together people from various backgrounds to learn from each other and work together on how to develop their own projects and bring about concrete social change. With the aim to enable more people to contribute to and help achieve collective aims, this set of thematic workshops focuses on how to improve and increase bottom-up political participation. The event addresses people with various contexts, such as academic research, political activism and community organisations, working to build participatory groups and organisations in their local areas. The eponymous question for the weekend will be: “how to do it”.

Framed as an interdisciplinary ‘open source’ event, participants will set their own agenda in thematic groups; a book and blog/website will be created afterwards with all the contributions – both articles and personal reflections on the conference.
