The People’s Climate March is an international anti-climate change project, that started out on 21 September 2014 with more than 300,000 people advocating political action against climate change. Although based in New York, the event was global in scope and implication, and was conceived as a response to the scheduled U.N. Climate Summit of world leaders to take place in New York City two days later, on 23 September 23.

The 2015 march – scheduled to coincide with the crucial climate talks in Paris, early December – broke the record again, with more than 700.000 people demonstrating worldwide. Photo impressions from the worldwide demonstration 2015 can be found on the Avaaz-website and on 350.0rg.

The People’s Climate March is supported by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon amongst others.
